Their relationship saves Tris from Al and how their relationship was at the start. Their relationship at the start wasnt positive and slowly their relationship improved. The close up on tris while Four throws the knife affects the person watching that something bad is going to happen or she might die. And Tris says: Were you a transfer too? Or Dauntless born? Are you kidding? No. What makes you think you can talk to me?. This shows how theyve relationship was at the start. Throughout the film Divergent Tris was almost killed by Al and Tris was saved by Four which started a relationship between them. Through that event Tris finds of that it was Al who tried to kill her because he was scared that Tris was moving up the rank and he thought that he was going get kicked out of dauntless.
